It’s time for an autumn communication refresher!

September is a great time for a fresh start!

Whether youโ€™ve been working on your brand for a few months or years, we understand how easy it can be to run out of inspiration, feel stuck, or just need a change. Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re dedicating this email to an autumn refresher!

Read on for some autumn communication refresher tips on how you can improve your brandโ€™s communication and make your work even more fun.

New people โ€“ fresh perspectives.

Try talking to people who havenโ€™t been in contact with your brand before. It doesnโ€™t even have to be in a formal setting like an official focus group; it can be a casual, relaxed conversation (or even an online survey). Itโ€™s important to talk to someone who hasnโ€™t had any contact with your brand before, can speak objectively, sees the brand with โ€œfreshโ€ eyes, and can reveal things you donโ€™t even notice (whether theyโ€™re positive or negative).

Be open to feedback; don’t explain why things are the way they are right now. Just listen and then choose which of the directions and suggestions you will react to.

Dive into analytics.

Even though you probably already do monthly or weekly reports, we know how difficult it can be to regularly find the space and time to analyze them in detail.

If you currently feel like you have no direction, the content you are posting is boring, and there are no interactions, the easiest way to get information about what is working and what is not is to go back to the analytics and numbers of your communication so far.

Analyze what had the greatest reach, what had the best reactions, what went unnoticedโ€ฆ Try to recreate the good results and improve the bad ones. The answer to great communication is often closer than you think ๐Ÿ™‚

Try a trend.

Whether your focus is on LinkedIn, Insta-Reels, or TikTok, there are already so many trends that itโ€™s easy to find one thatโ€™s right for every type of company and platform.

If youโ€™re currently lacking inspiration, try building on a current trend โ€“ it doesnโ€™t take much time to come up with, and itโ€™s usually pretty easy to implement. The results of the trend (if you โ€œcatchโ€ it in time) will give you a little more motivation to come up with the next steps.

Hire a content creator.

But not just the one with the most followers. Analyze their way of communicating, audience reactions, long-term consistencyโ€ฆ

Once youโ€™ve found the right ones, share your brand story with them and let them tell it in their own way. Chances are, theyโ€™ll discover a new perspective that might inspire you for new content too.

Test.

Try telling the same message in different content formats โ€“ blog post, reel, carousel, photoโ€ฆ Share them all and follow the one that best suits your audience.

Try different communication channels โ€“ if youโ€™ve been exclusively on Instagram for years, try creating a TikTok video or organizing a live eventโ€ฆ New channels always bring the opportunity for a new, previously undiscovered audience.

Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚
